Learning Spanish and Japanese gave me an early experience with perception and how systems affect people since I was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child. Writing systems have a large impact on how well people learn them. For instance, many native Spanish speakers have no idea they are dyslexic until they learn start learning English.

I'm passionate about making tools catered to those who are impacted by them. Tools carry with them invisible assumptions on how they can, or should, be used. But it's the small elements that grow over time which can culminate in people feeling lost and discouraged.

My background in psychology and design has been indispensable to understanding how people are affected by their environment, and identifying what holds them back.
